North Hollywood Station
North Hollywood Station services the subterranean Red Line subway and the Orange Line dedicated bus lane, at platforms across the street from each other. They are connected by a crosswalk that floods with commuters whenever a train or bus arrives. Some run to the train platform lest they barely miss one; some race to the Orange Line when they see passengers boarding one of its buses.
The Orange Line station is nude and utilitarian except for a beautiful metalwork piece on the attractions of Los Angeles. The Red Line station has a plaza, busy with hot dog and jewelry vendors, with escalators descending to the platform.
