There are three kinds of thermodynamic systems:
System | Description |
---|---|
Isolated systems | Do not exchange heat, work, nor matter with their environment. |
Closed systems | Do not exchange matter, but are able to exchange heat and work. |
Open systems | Are able to exchange heat, work, and matter with their environment. |
